Ich weiß es nicht. Okay. Schulterzucken. Leises Lachen. Lautes Lachen. Die Tischplatte ist mein Freund. Thumbs up, everyone!

Audio Life Forms // 3D Animations

I can't describe in words how amazing this 3D animation is created by the über talented Andy Thomas. The Australian artist creates what is described as "audio life forms" of 3D animations that respond to audio input. For his latest work he's decided to use archival bird recordings from the Netharlands Institute for Sound and Vision as well as some of his own to create digital sound sculptures that animate in different ways, reacting to the songs of each bird.

The bird sound animations were commissioned by Europeana Creative and funded by the EU. The bird sound animation was created using a bunch of tools some of these being; XSI ICE with emfluid, empolygonizer, 3dsMax, After Effects and were then rendered with Vray. For more information on the project and more of Andy Thomas's work have a look at his website.

One second of the clip is more beautiful than the next, enjoy!
